We are currently seeking a Social Media Intern!
We are specifically seeking a Social Media Intern who is able to work independently, approximately 10 hours weekly. The primary task of the Intern is regular posting and active engagement on all of Activated By Wellness social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn). To this end, prospective interns should enjoy social media and content-creation, specifically mental health and marginalized communities-related content and be actively engaged with those communities online. Other tasks may include flier creation, live IG, and helping to assemble our newsletter. In exchange for your time and help, you’ll get an opportunity to work alongside a team of authors, editors, and writing instructors; free attendance at most Pioneer Valley Writers’ Workshop classes, and some valuable skills and experience. We are also very happy to write recommendations and act as mentors for those seeking guidance with applications for furthering their education in the mental health field, publishing, and next steps in their writing careers. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to get involved in a local writing organization: recent college grads, aspiring writers, retirees seeking to devote time to a literary life and their writing, and anyone interested in the literary arts and connecting with writers. The Social Media Intern will work closely with Vivien Roman-Hampton, LICSW (Founder) and Senecal (Assistant Director).
